Not Just an
Ordinary Love Story
Hannah and Freddy share what they like to call an intentional love. A love story supported by friendship, admiration, and understanding. First meeting at Clemson University in 2009 through mutual friends and small dining halls, this is not a storybook love at first sight couple. Both Hannah and Freddy were in a new environment working hard to figure out who they wanted to grow up to be. After meeting their freshman year, Freddy went on to work in PEER study hall as a sophomore, and Hannah became a very frequent visitor even though she was not taking any of the classes Freddy tutored. Late night trips walking across campus back to bus stops turned into unbelievable trips swimming across one of the worlds largest waterfalls together...and much more in between 2009 and today.
After years of what Freddy calls “going together” he built the courage and stability needed in his life to ask Hannah to marry him on the Monbijou Bridge in front of the Bode Museum in Berlin. Being in the center of a historic city on Museum Island is a testament of how Freddy appreciates the beauty of their developing family legacy. Hannah said yes with excitement and they both immediately agreed both the wedding and honeymoon would be somewhere warmer than Berlin in the winter. Holding the hand of their fiancé made walking through centuries of art and history even more impactful.
Both Hannah and Freddy’s family have connected with each other at holiday events, graduations, and family trips. Both families are excited to officially combine and add to their family trees. At the wedding ceremony all will be seated together and family traditions from both families will be a part of the celebration. We look forward to seeing you in South Africa and celebrating years of love past and future.
Travel & Stay
Weather
We wouldn’t bring you halfway across the world in the sweltering heat of South Africa!
We want your trip to celebrate with us to be delightful, not sweltering! So, we've chosen November, a charming South African spring month. Think pleasant mornings and evenings with warm days, perfect for exploring Cape Town's mountains, beaches, and vibrant city life. Expect daytime temperatures around 75°F and cooler nights around 55°F. Remember, Cape Town's diverse landscape can bring microclimates, so pack for spring-like weather with a light rain jacket for good measure.
See you in Stellenbosch, the enchanting wine country east of Cape Town!
